While Elizabeth II is the longest reigning monarch in British history with an incredible 66 years at the helm, let us not forget that Queen Victoria held the record previously at 63 years, seven months and two days. In fact, today, 23rd September, marks the anniversary of the day Victoria beat George III’s record of 59 years and 96 days.
